An online friend of mine took a trip up the Cali coast and shot this picture. I dream of getting back out to California like her.

So I'm wondering...

How do you make your travels creative, even when you can't go to your ideal location?

That is so coincidental just as we have 'Travels' as a topic for this week's 'Studio Friday'!

That is a great question. I am obsessive about my journal when I travel - if I go somewhere for a week I fill an entire book. I record so many small details and do a lot of quick sketches.
